What precautions have you taken regarding Covid-19?

We have reduced class sizes to 8 and are adhering to strict social distancing, temperature checks, cleaning between classes etc. Our full Covid-19 protocol is available to read here.

Do I need to book a class or can I just turn up?

In line with our Covid-19 protocol, all classes must be booked before attending.

How do I book a class?

You need to sign up to our online booking system. It is explained here.

Can I attend a yoga class if I am pregnant?

In general no, our classes are not suitable if you are pregnant. There is a pregnancy yoga class on Sundays at 6:30pm, (please see above). There are a few other regular classes you may be able to attend, please write in to info@yogapoint.co.uk to find out.

I have a studio class pack/ membership can I use it for online yoga classes?.

Yes. You can use it for the online classes. Some classes are cheaper than before so you may not want to use your pre-bought classes. Class packs bought before lockdown are valid to use for studio classes now we have reopened.

What should I wear?

Wear something comfortable. Yoga is practised in bare feet and most people wear leggings/shorts and a t-shirt/top. We have womxn, mxn and all gender changing rooms but no showers.

I am a complete beginner can I just come along and try a class?

Yes! Complete beginners and beginners are very welcome. There are complete beginners’ classes on Tuesday evenings and Monday lunchtimes. You can also attend any of the yoga classes that say ‘Level 1’ or ‘All welcome’. Please let the teacher know if you are a complete beginner so that they can look after you. If you have any questions or would like some advice regarding which class to try please do write in to info@yogapoint.co.uk

Are there any pregnancy yoga classes?

Yes, on Sunday evenings at 18:30. You need to be past 12 weeks pregnant to attend and then you can drop in. If you have any complications with your pregnancy please write in to theresaaldridge@yahoo.co.uk before you attend. If your pregnancy is straightforward there are a potentially a few other classes you may be able to go to, do write in to info@yogapoint.co.uk to find out.

Is there somewhere to leave my bike?

There are several bike racks opposite the studio. There is no room inside the studio to bring bikes in.

Can I try a free class? Do you have an introductory offer?

YogaPoint is a small local independent business run on a profit-share basis in collaboration with our yoga teachers. We therefore do not offer free classes or introductory offers.

Is there any parking near Yoga Point?

Yoga Point is in a Brixton parking zone which operates Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm (please always check before parking). There are parking metres.

Is there a concessionary rate for classes?

Due to Covid-19 we have had to change our approach to concession rates for classes. Studio classes are currently £12 per mat as we only have 8 mats. The Zoom classes are cheaper. If you would like to attend the Zoom classes but cannot afford them please write in to info@yogapoint.co.uk so that we can help.

Do I need to bring anything?

Yoga Point is fully equipped so there is no need to bring a mat, belt or blocks etc. There are womxn, mxn and all gender changing rooms but no showers. Due to Covid-19 the changing rooms are currently out of use. Mats are provided, and other equipment is provided where needed and then cleaned/ quarantined after use.

Are there showers at Yoga Point?

There are no showers.

Can I bring my son/ daughter to a class?

Classes are suitable for those aged 16 and over. 13-15 year olds can attend classes if accompanied by a parent or carer.

How can I tell which style of yoga the class will be?

The timetable states the style for the class, you can read about each style on the Yoga information page. You can also look up the teacher for each class under teacher profiles to learn more about the style they teach.
