Paula Hines

Paula is a Senior Yoga Teacher (Yoga Alliance Professionals UK) and has practised and studied a range of yoga styles since 2001. Her own experience of yoga’s capacity to aid recovery from injury and ease stress led her to train as a teacher after fourteen years of working full-time in TV and fuels her desire to share yoga’s life-enhancing benefits with others. An experienced restorative yoga teacher, Paula is an Advanced Relax and Renew Trainer.

Paula enjoys teaching groups and individuals and is also a senior tutor and lecturer on the Laxmi Yoga Hatha Flow 200-hour teacher-training programme with Sally Parkes. Her commitment to studying yoga as a teacher and student is ongoing, including studying restorative yoga with Judith Hanson Lasater, yin yoga with Norman Blair and yoga for scoliosis with Adelene Cheong. Paula is also a Total Yoga Nidra teacher and facilitator (an approach which encompasses a range of Yoga Nidra
traditions with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and Nirlipta Tuli).

Paula greatly enjoys learning from students and is eternally grateful to all the teachers she has had the good fortune to practise and study with.
Paula is also a writer with script-writing credits for the BBC and currently writes a monthly column for OM yoga magazine. Paula’s classes are both on Wednesday, see below for class descriptions.

Hatha flow

In this class Paula gracefully weaves the asanas (postures) together, orchestrated by the breath to build stamina and flexibility. This class will release tension from the body, improve your posture and leave you feeling stronger and more energised.

Yinyasa

This class is a meditative combination of flowing yang (active) postures and yin (floor-based passive) postures accessing the body’s deep connective tissues and connecting the breath with mindful movement. The intention of this yin and yang flow is to create more space and integrity in the body, finding ease and release while cultivating more mind/body awareness.

Seasonal Workshops

Paula teaches regular workshops with the season changes at Yoga Point. These consist of yin yoga and yoga nidra. All details are provided on the workshop page.
