Joy Anderson

Joy started her career as an aerobics teacher and fitness coach, following an injury and after trying just about everything, she learned Scaravelli inspired yoga as part of her rehabilitation. Scaravelli Yoga uses gravity and the breath to make significant shifts in the spine. Joy trained to teach this style of yoga and has now been teaching for over 20 years.

More recently has started combining the practice with Vinyasa flow, which gives a more dynamic and varied approach. Joy’s classes are open to all and students are encouraged to work at their own level. Joy will encourage her students to develop an individual practice and learn to recognise what works and discard what doesn’t. Joy teaches a regular monthly workshop at Yoga Point.
