Jim Tarran

A Yoga Alliance Senior Teacher, Jim has been teaching yoga for 26 years. Graduating from the Patanjali yoga school in Kathmandu in 1992, and the Iyengar school in 1996, Jim established the Vajrasati school of yoga in 2000. Jim has spent 30 years studying the yoga traditions including; Tantra, Vedanta and Hatha, and incorporates these teachings into a modern postural yoga setting.

Though Jim’s classes are popular with experienced yogis they remain highly accessible and cut across all levels of experience to be just as appreciated by complete beginners. His classes emphasise attentive awareness of physical, and more subtle, states of oneself in order to alert students to their own, intuitive intelligence. This approach lets all students, from beginners through to more advanced yogis, move from their own level towards greater integration.
