Fiona Edwards

Fiona began practicing yoga in 2002 and started teaching in 2005. She is fully
certified with Yoga Alliance and also holds a qualification to teach Pregnant and
Post Natal Yoga through Spirit Yoga, Berlin.  During her 25 year career as a
contemporary dancer, choreographer and dance teacher, including 5 years as
Senior Lecturer at Roehampton University, Fiona became inspired by yoga as it
helped to heal a dance knee injury where traditional methods had failed. Through her increasing knowledge and those of her teachers she became injury
free and remains convinced in the power of Yoga to heal both mind and body.

Her passion for yoga and her varied experience helps her to focus on assisting
students to become more aware of how they can improve their health and
wellbeing. Her main aim is to teach her students in a way that they can then
become good teachers for themselves and others. Fiona teaches both Dynamic Vinyasa Flow and Gentle Yoga classes at Yoga Point with the focus on movement following breath, individual correct alignment, strength and release and how to encourage balance between mind and body. She also uses her knowledge of Shiatsu and Chinese Medicine philosophy within her
classes. Fiona is one of the Shiatsu Therapists at Yoga Point.
